And more importantly another "chipping away" of our rights and yet another useless law/regulation.

I sent an email to each and every rep on the list (and plan to call the ones that don't have a computer yet). Below is an email response (and below that my email to him) from an ally. Take his advice!

Dear John,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write. Please tell all of the hunters that you know to write to their legislators as well. We will defeat this bill tomorrow in the Game and Fish Division, but it will likely come up again on the floor of the House.
The Humane Society of the United States is really pushing this. Please let people know. Most legislators will get fifteen or twenty letters supporting this bill and none opposing it.
I too am an avid hunter and we can't afford to let dove hunting go away.
Regards,
Joe

Dear Joe,
First I want to thank you for becoming a representative. Even if we disagree, it takes people like you who care to keep our state a great one to live in. I appreciate you for that.
It has come to my attention that bills have been introduced to remove mourning doves from the list of game birds. I want you to know that my friends, my family, and I enjoy hunting and OPPOSE this legislation. There is no good reason to take these birds off the list of game birds!
Oppose House file 2501 and Senate File 2329, and allow my grandchildren (I have three who live here in Minnesota) the same experiences that I've had.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance in this.

Thanks!
