The fam and I are going to a music fest this weekend, and spotted this in their rules... Quote: Firearms are not permitted anywhere on the festival grounds. It is private property that the festival is on, but we are renting campgrounds. I'm curious about the legality of this as I am under the impression (quite possibly the wrong one) that we are tenants for the weekend, and they cannot restrict our "property".

I would tend to agree with you. Deep cover would be the way to go.

In theory I agree. In practice I'd say treat it just like MOA or anyplace else you know has legally meaningless signs that would never-the-less cause you more grief than you want were you to be conspicuous in your carry.
You know you are in the right, I know you are in the right, their security is not likely paid enough to know _______.

Duly noted... I'm not one to stir the pot just because I feel I'm right... The only time I OC is when I am on good will missions to inform or break the "gun nut" stigmata... (Young guy with 2 year old daughter and infant son in tow). OCing, or even 1/2 arsed concealment at an event that has stated (even if illegally) that they do not allow firearms does no real good for anyone...

They pulled a coffee can and a "high-powered" rifle out of his hooch? I usually pay good money to see stuff like that.

I recently went camping with my wife for a week and the campgrounds all had "No Firearms" policies. That even included BB guns to my surprise. I decided to leave the firearms at home because I didn't want an issue. I don't know if they can really enforce it but I didn't want to be the test-case.

Yes, It's not a question of whether or not I will carry, It's whether or not they have any right to deny you to...
