At present, engaged in a debate about carry of firearms by citizens. . . anyone know a quick source for a current number on active LEO's in MN?

What's a "Specialty Agency"?

Things like metro transit police and 7 rivers park district that are larger than a single county but smaller than the whole state.

My guess would be around 300 feds, with the bureau and ICE being the two largest. Add in a few postal inspectors, the marshals service, secret service, and a handful of other less well known agencies.

A good guess is close enough, on feds. even Post's numbers don't line up, but I expect that has to do with year to year changes. My primary objective was supportable number to get a ratio of carry permit holder to active sworn officers in MN.
You guys are great!
1 % of MN residents is a permit holder
1/5 th of 1 % is an active LEO in MN
