Anyone using a shoulder rig for their S&W snubby? I normally pocket carry in a Robert Mika holster, but there are times a shoulder rig would be better. I've got a Ken Null single-side, but the offside hold-down clip keeps coming loose, so I'm looking for a double-sided one with either a speedloader panel or a cartridge dump pouch. The Alessi has great reviews, but a 2-year waiting list; even the Haugen rig would probably be 6 months, so I'm leaning toward either a Galco Miami Classic or a Bianchi X16. Anyone using either of 'em?

I have a galco set up for either 1911's (duh) or glocks, they work in their specific arena.
If the clip is not working talk to srigs about modifying it.

That's a classic rig. Too bad they're not still available...I've wanted to try one of those ever since I read my first James Bond novel back in about 1964.

Just out of curiousity, if you're going with a rig that conceals pretty well, why are you putting such a small gun in it? I have nothing against j-frames (carry one myself) but if I were to "gear up" with a shoulder rig, I'd carry something a little more substantial.

All day carry when wearing a suit or similar!
I like the 1911 but it does get heavy after a while.

"Beware the man with one gun..."...
No, actually, I have a 1911 too, but as was noted, I find it a bit heavy for everyday carry in a very low-threat civilian situation. Also, I'm actually more accurate with the little 642 with its CT grips. Two in the COM is better than two outside.

I have a Galco shoulder holster that will work with my j frame pistols. It is very comfortable and has a double strip holder on the off side.

That said, if I'm going to carry on the belt, I don't mind something a bit heavier and larger, but I'm excitable as to choice, and I likes to keep my options open.

Does anyone make a Berns-Martin style holster? It seems like they used to be readily available, but now I can't find any.
Ideally, I'd like a Kydex or synthetic one, but leather is fine too.

Have you checked with Lightning Arms Sports for the Alessi usually about $20 more, But if they have one in stock they usually will ship it the next day.

Rusty Sherrick makes the current day version of the Berns-Martin. It's expensive though. I do share Joel's view that it's good. Mine is an antique Berns-Martin on a Galco harness with drop boxes opposite. I carry a Colts Agent in there.
