So yes - I was out walking the dog on Robert street, St Paul, and took a bit of a spill on un-even sidewalk. The Fox Labs OC in my hand took the brunt of my fall, and failed on the side of the container.
In my infinite wisdom, I managed to tip the container towards myself, getting the container breach to hit myself in the forehead.
Pain ensues, and I blindly walk myself (and the Wife) the last block to the house.
I know it's bad when she starts gagging in the street from the airborne-particles, and I manage to hold it in until I'm in my yard, still-blind-mind-you, and manage to lose dinner on 6 occasions. Face burning the whole time.
So yes, as a non-employee Good Lord: http://www.foxlabs.com/pepperspray.shtml
This is the best possible worst $hit around. I am still burning in the face, and residual parts I so stupidly touched in the process.
Gonna carry this stuff forever...accident or not

Oh man, I feel your pain. I got OC'ed years ago for training, and I've been very respectful of it ever since.
May not be lethal, but holy crap does it hurt.

Why were you walking around with the can in your hand?

Evidently, for 'test purposes'.
I feel your pain!
However, pain and discomfort are the best 'teachers'.

I hear if you go into a heated room and rub your eyes a bit everything should be just fine!
On a more serious note, I would advise you to sh*t can the clothes you were wearing - you'll only contaminate your washer/dryer and will have a bit of deja-vu on hot days!

It was the small 2oz guy, so I was basically palming it while The Wife had the dog's leash.
It's a valid question...but I'm asking myself whether it would be better/worse to have it break in my hand, or in my front pocket...right, um, there....

Just remember not all people will react as violently as you did to your exposure. To some drunk or drugged it may have little effect. Also you most likely got a far higher dose to the face, (being at aprox. arms length) than most would at a safer use distance. (perhaps 6-10 feet)
That said, hurts like hell doesn't it...
Glad your safe, and all in all not a bad thing to happen, feeling the affects, under standing what to expect (should you get some blow back if you ever need to use in in SD).

I know exactly what your talking about. Had a bit of it on my face for training last month. That stuff reactivates with water.
Carefull in the shower, it runs down hill if ya know what I mean.

Maybe a switch to CS is in order...

Sabre has both OC and OS in addition to dye. Sounds like fun. (if you're a saddest)

I've gotten a face full of Freeze+P on numerous occasions at the job but nothing compares to the burn from Fox Lab. My head of security deemed it "too mean" to use after three of us we're covered in it after a tussle with an "unhappy guest" who was sprayed outside our establishment. All exposed flesh that came in contact felt like burning for hours after.

I love that word...."tussle"
Great for the sheeple, friends who are 'objectors', and just fun to say!
