ok, i'm kinda embarassed to ask this....I thought I knew how this worked and now after looking at it, I'm not so sure.
The paddle portion of the holster, does it go inside your pants, or hook underneath the belt on the outside of your pants?

You can do it either way but most people put the paddle inside the pants. Good question because I have read about it both ways.

Our local County Attorney shoots IDPA with the paddle on the outside of his pants and nobody calls him a dorcus.

It is generally unwise to call any armed man a "dorcus".

I have several paddle holsters. Most work the best for me with the paddle inside the pants. I do have a Galco for my S&W J frames that definetely works better when the paddle is between the pant and the belt.
Try both ways and determine which is more stable and comfortable. Again remember, the belt is an important part of any holster system.
