I had an avatar once, but it disapeared. How do i load one?

Make it smaller or host it at a site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com

When i set up options to load the avitar it was easy. Now those seem options are not officer in the profile page.

Under the profile page, the last section is Avatar Control Panel. You do not need a hosting site for the image. If it is already on the internet, you can put that address, or you can upload directly from your computer. It has to be a certain size, which is spelled out on that page.
One thought is that newer users (likely based on # of posts), could have the Avatar function turned off. But, I have not seen that type of restriction used here.
Or, maybe the image you had was inappropriate and the ability was taken away? But, I would think you'd get a private message on that.
