Just got #40 of powder for 308 and 223 - anyone wanna load?

Time to get ready for doggin.... I think 10,000 rounds should cover it.

I am working on 8#. Still prepping the mil .223 brass. Very time consuming.

40# is over 10,000 rounds of 223. You got the brass ready to go?

Not sure I will help you reload, but I would help you empty out the brass when you are done.

What powder are you using for the .223? I have 5# of Reloader 15 on my bench, and some dies that are raring to go!!!

This reloading topic along with the "A little hard to conceal!" thread over General Gun Discussions area got me to thinking about a load development (working up a load) test, for a naval gun, I was involved with.

My memory is a little fuzzy, since I wasn't directly involved, but as I recall, the goal was a 120 kg projectile at around 850 meter/sec. I think they ended up with around 28 kg of powder.....!

For you reloaders, I think that is about a 1,800,000 grain bullet at 2,800 ft/sec, over 430,000 grains of powder!
