From the current NRA instructor's newsletter:
Question: Can an NRA Basic Pistol Course completion certificate be issued to a student that completes the course live firing practical with an air pistol only?
Answer: No. Students must live fire with cartridge ammunition....
I just thought this was interesting given the earlier discussion regarding similar issues and the MN Permit process.
The NRA answer goes on to say: "Many states use NRA courses as their standard for concealed carry permit training, thus each lesson's objectives must be fully met for the completion certificate to be issued."
