I wonder if they will enter with a lower retail price than others out there now. I am not in the market for another AR, but one by Ruger could tempt me.

MSRP: $1995

Remember, that 2K is MSRP; they'll more likely be in the 15-1600 range, which--for a piston-driven AR--is not that insane. Heck, a POF piston upper alone can run close to 1500...
However--anyone wanna bet that ol' Bill Ruger is spinning at a couple thousand RPM right now?

I distinctly remember seeing an M16a1 with the Sturm, Ruger and Co. trademark on it while I was in the Army. That was in 1988. I'd expect the rifle was probably Vietnam-era manufacture.
My personal rifle was a Hydramatic, I also saw at least one H&R.

The rumor is that Ruger didn't build *any* of the parts on the gun. Not even the lower receiver.

Yup, they've wrapped ol' Bill “No Honest Man Needs A Handgun Smaller Than A Canned Ham” Ruger Sr.'s corpse in copper wire and lined the coffin with magnets, and now the whole plant is off the grid. They've broken with Bill's mandates by offering us Simple Civilians a whole slew of new guns.
Read the whole thing, of course. The snark is strong with this one.
