I came across an article on John Popper from Blues Traveller being arrested and the following picture was shown:

I'm want to know if anyone can identify the the black-stocked, bolt-action, scoped long arm next to the folding stock shotgun...

In 2003 he was arrested for marijuana possession while driving through Texas. I do not know if he had these tools with him at the time. He is an avid gun and sword collector.

I do not know what rifle that is. Looks like something that would be fun!

The grey ones are Steyr Scouts. Jeff Cooper would be proud.

To me it looks like a stainless bolt action blunderbuss.

Years ago, one of the gun magazines had a review on .50 caliber rifles (before they were commonly available). This rifle reminds me of one of the rifles in the review. For some reason the brand name "rhino" comes to mind, but I couldn't find anything with google. I do recall the rifle as being described as having a muzzle brake almost the size of a beer can!

It looks like a Desert Rhino. It's pretty rare but a friend in SD has one he's never fired. 18" barrel, including the chamber and the brake, which means that there is about 8" of rifled barrel. At this point he probably would be better off not to fire it because of collector value.

Now now.. you fellas have it all wrong. It's like an ugly dog. Everyone else has kicked it around. Show it a little kindness (and a FIRM grip) and it will treat you right :-)

*** note, I'm NOT a big dog person. Oh I like them all right but have a phobia and they can sense that.

*** It's not the size of the man in the fight but the size of the fight in the man is incredibly true for dogs. Think of Jack Russel Terriers... They thingk they're just dwarf Mastiffs and they act the part :-)
