Best response is an embarassed/offended look/glare combined with a comment about how it's not polite to point out your colostomy bag.

I love the "arent you!?" comment
it shoves that progressive liberal wellstone "!" crap right back at them.
love it....

Question: "Are you armed today?"

Response: "Yes, and I'm legged today too."
Response: Yes, I was born with them. (holding out arms)

Q: Why are you carrying a gun?

A: Because I put on my pants.

If someone asks, "Are you carrying a firearm?" my response is "Are you a law enforcement officer?" If they answer "Yes", I answer truthfully, as required of a permit holder. (I may ask for their LEO identification.) If they answer "No", I ignor the question or answer "No" (whether I am carrying or not).

Excellent response, I like it. My grandson (7) outed me to several of his friends and one of the friends mom at a game. The mom said I knew you were a permit instructor, I plan to take my renewal class with you. I was pleased but could have done without her followup, I know your partner from X and really like him. Ok, still a student and my grandson has remembered not to talk about it in public.

"Are you carrying today?"

"Am I naked? Did I forget to put pants on this morning?"
