Interested in IDPA?
Note: This is only REQUIRED to shoot with the Twin Cities IDPA club.
The Twin Cities IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) will be holding a new shooters orientation and clinic. You must attend this clinic or have verifiable specific training or action shooting experience prior to shooting your first match.
This will be your one chance this season here in the Twin Cities to have IDPA rules covered in detail and see winning tactics demonstrated. Scoring and penalties, along with equipment checks and suggestions, will also be offered. The clinic will be limited to the first 15 paid registrations to ensure individual attention.
The formal classroom presentation will be about two hours long with at least another 1/2 hour for questions/answers as well as another two hours on the range and breaks.
The CSO's (Certified Safety Officer’s) who will act as instructors have IDPA multiple ratings so you'll see some good demos on the range from a wide skill range. This also will allow two squads of four each in the 2 bays.
You will need to bring a pistol (Revolver or Semi-auto,) a strong side holster, 3 magazines, (a magazine holder is helpful,) 150 rounds of ammunition (Ammo will be available for purchase from the range as will rental guns at the individuals cost.) I doubt we will shoot more than 100 rounds, but extra ammo is always good!
When: Sunday November 19th, 2006 2:00 to 7:00
Where: Bill’s Robbinsdale
Cost: $ 60.00 prepaid (this includes a pizza and pop dinner, targets, and all range fees)
