I searched other post and found nothing. My family and I will be at the State Theater for IDC dance competition in a couple weeks. Does anyone know if the Theater is posted?
Thanks in Advance!

I believe it is, maybe even MPPA-compliantly, but for this event I'd bet they don't wand you, so it's irrelevant in my ever so humble opinion. I advise very discreet carry mode if you're a competitor.

Sometimes the best hiding spot is in plain sight.

Exactly. I believe Shakespeare coined the term from the acronym for "Carry Ordnance Discreetly".

Thanks for the info. I am a spectator not quite in good enough shape to compete!

The State Theater is posted, although just at the front doors, and not at the side entrance from the ramp.

Side entrance from the ramp. . . okay. Going to see Eddy Izzard there tonight. Gosh I love this resource.

Update - They took down their signs. We are once again welcome to go through the main doors of the State Theater.
The show was great! That is the funniest Stand Up I have ever heard. Great show, interesting set.

The signs I saw were on portable stands. Perhaps they decide to put them out depending on the show?

I went to see a show last night (Joel McHale - Very Funny by the way) and was looking hard and saw no signs anywhere. It was very busy and they did do bag checks but I walked right through with my XD IWB.

Portable signs come out when the theoretical potential rowdiness of the crowd goes up. realtor_packing_heat wrote: I went to see a show last night (Joel McHale - Very Funny by the way) and was looking hard and saw no signs anywhere. Well it wasn't a rock or rap concert.

Yeah. When R.Kelly comes to the Orpheum they have to put up two signs:
"No Females Under Age Of 16"
"No Guns, Drugs, Knifes And..."

I was at the Louis C.K. show at the Pantages last friday. No security, no signs, nothing. Very funny show. Wonderful venue.
